Wild for wallpaper
I took a consultation with a client who is pondering renovating her childhood home. It’s a classic mid century modern home with exquisite wall paper….from the 1970s. I laughingly told her the paper would sell for $100s/roll in today’s market.
It’s true though wallpaper is making a comeback. And yes some of the best looking prints out today do look like your parents or grandparents papering; don’t judge, just take it in.
Just imagine the prints above as: (1) a bold pattern for a home office, (2) an accent wall in a bohemian retreat, pop with one of those fabulous shag rugs Justina Blakeney has done for Loloi Rugs and silk pillows!, (3) an elegant boudoir, (4) a rustic traditional dinning room, think Restoration Hardware table + chairs, modern white dinner plates, flax linens and gold flatware, and (5).....as a chic powder room of course.
